Whilst on holiday it wasn't always convenient to use my tripod, which left me with a bit of a dilemma. How to do HDR, especially if I wanted the bracketted shots that make so much difference to an HDR image. When I was in Leeds with Tony I did some experimenting with handheld brackets but the lighting was good at the time.

Anyway this one was done on a horrible humid Hong Kong day, late in the afternoon, with lots of haze and pollution, which can be seen over the mountains and Kowloon. I'm ...

The old South Pennine Town of Hebden Bridge was at the heart of the

Industrial Revolution when the town echoed to the sounds of Cotton Mills.

She was the Cross Roads for Bradford and the Lancashire Towns of Burnley,

Rawtenstall, Bacup, Todmorden and the Lancashire Valleys. Sadly, not much remains of the old "Glory Days", ,cept maybe the occasional ruins tucked away

in the Lancashire Valleys. A gentle and quite sophistication still draws visitors

This one was also hand held. I'd just packed away my tripod when I looked up again and thought worth a go

Anyway down by the canal managed to get a few in there as well. Much harder as the light was fading but I do like doing low light HDR's . Definately on tripod now light is too low and the exposures are getting into the seconds..I can't hold it that still for such a long time

This is the area were two swimmers lost their lives off Weston several weeks ago. The swimmers were swept out to sea after a late night swim on June 23. They were both dragged down into the water by the undercurrent on their way back to shore. Both bodies were found by coastguards on June 30.

This image taken Thursday shows nearly high tide at 12.3 metres. Note the railings down to the beach which are almost covered by the sea.

The summit of Clea Leat Moors stands 1750ft above Sea Level, like the neighbouring Moors of "Tan Hill" the Moor is predominately used for Sheep Grazing and Peat Extraction. Storms roll across these hills in the blink of an eye, although the Moor is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, walking paths are few and far between in an attempt to reduce the damage to this wilderness area.

One moment to stand and stare thy glorious beauty to behold.
