They just sent me an announcement after it had all been done and dusted We've made an update for your profiles, to make them more user-friendly, and therefore easier to edit. It will be effective within the next minutes! You can now, as an admin/mod (with proper permissions), directly browse any profile and edit it without going to your admin panel: simply click on the field you wish to edit, and there you go! When I signed up for the forum there was no mentionof adverts but i should have guessed. The other night on the help site for the forum I read about random adverts appearing but as I hadn't seen any I though we had got away with it. Unfortunately one has just popped up and I suspect there will be more. In the administration panel it says I can turn them on only for guests. I've done that but I'm not ...
