http://www.great-yarmouth.co.uk/whats-on/maritime-festival.aspx The 10th annual Great Yarmouth Maritime Festival sails into town on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2009, when traditional tall ships, expedition vessels, steam drifters and lifeboats moor on South Quay.
The Festival is a riot of colour and maritime music, with a large stage featuring performances, shanty groups, folk bands, choirs and brass bands.
Newfoundland dogs frequently put on life-saving displays in conjunction with the local lifeboat crews.
Meanwhile onshore, displays of maritime related crafts, artwork and history are on view with Hemsby herrings, bloaters and other delicious food to enjoy. Special heritage walks show off the town's rich maritime heritage.
Children's activities and Norfolk Militia displays, Lofty the Lighthouse and Horatio Herring ensure there's entertainment all day long
